YIN JIA
Yin Jia’s porcelain works are a synthesis of Chinese artistic lineage and the vivid sensory world of Mauritius, where she has lived since 2010. A calligrapher and painter graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing and working with prized Jingdezhen’s heritage clay and glazes, she captures the vibrant natural beauty of Mauritius on unique hand-painted porcelain using cobalt blue as well as copper-red underglaze, a colour renowned for both, its technical difficulty and historical value.
Yin Jia’s pieces are a tribute to the fragility and radiance of nature.
